read | when in doubt, polaroid out

have you ever looked through your parents’ photo albums from back in the day? i have, and i’m proud to say my parents were pretty swag. they posed nonchalantly by trees or cars, with their jerry curls (mom) and their afros (dad), and took polaroids from parties that are now stuck between the flaps of the album pages… and when polaroid cameras became cool again thanks to you darn hipsters, i just knew that i had to have one and make my own memories.

but now that my polaroid wall is laden with snaps of my friends and my awesome nifty250 prints, i thought it’s time to pass my camera forward so that some other great person can make some memories, and what better place to sell it than on south africa’s largest online classified section, Gumtree? there is literally nothing that you can’t buy, sell or find on gumtree – from cars to concert tickets, jobs to cameras, apartments to electronics, boats to baby clothes and just about everything in between.

i placed an ad for my fujifilm instax 210 instant camera and it was so quick, easy, and not to mention free, to do – all you have to do is register, put the information and pictures up, put your specified price and location for selling and then you wait! if you’re super desperate to sell your item, for a little extra, they’ll place ads for you and promote your item to help you get it sold.

so, if you live in the greater sandton area in johannesburg and you’re interested in buying my polaroid camera, send me an email or let me know through the gumtree page! you can see some photos of the instagrams i took here, here: x | x | x | x | x

and with that online protip, i wish you all a great weekend (and wish me luck! i start my matric prelims next week, eek!)

definitely! there is definitely a lot of learning so you can use the camera to the full, but they’re awesome anyway 🙂

I love polaroid cameras. The pictures are always more nostalgic for some reason.
