For my first official post, I thought I should come bearing gifts! So I come with two: pictures of half-naked men dripping wet like it’s a ’90s R&B music video and free stuff! If you want to see both, keep reading!

as you all know, i am (or should i say, was) a huge fan of seventeen magazine south africa. i mean, i had collected their magazines without fail since march 2009. so imagine my heartbreak when they announced last year that the december issue would be their last and the magazine was to be discontinued. i mean – they grew up with me and gave me so many opportunities, like the style counsel, job shadowing, competitions and even allowed me to make some amazing friends that i still have! (at least it was semi poetic that seventeen ended when i was seventeen, right?)
hello everyone! i just returned from camp with the grade 8s of my school and to say that i’m tired is the understatement of the year. voice gone, a bit sun burnt, muscular pain (how the heck did i cut myself & where did this bruise come from??) – suffice to say, i am happy to return to suburbia. i should’ve posted this before i left but my internet was being ugly so i couldn’t 🙁

if you haven’t heard of this woman, you’ve probably been living under a rock. not only has lupita nyong’o been the buzz of hollywood over her portrayal of patsey in the critically acclaimed golden globe winning and oscar nominated movie, 12 Years A Slave, she’s also caught our eye as a style icon who not only slays on the red carpet, but is one of the new faces of miu miu’s ss2014 campaign alongside elizabeth olsen and elle fanning. futhermore, this kenyan native is changing the game and she does so with such elegance.
other than to gush over lupita nyong’o, this post serves a purpose: to gush over lupita nyong’o in the february issue of Dazed & Confused‘s Girls Who Run The World issue. from bold make up to even bolder outfits, this pictorial has me feeling so many feels and i just love it and i love her.
