*Drake voice* Took a break from blogging, now it’s back to that!
Hello and welcome back to the revamped DearSolo Blog! I hope you like the new look and new branding (as courtesy of the amazing Lusanda Buthelezi – book her for your creative design needs!), and to kick off my new posts, I thought I’d start by finally showing you more of the shots from my shoot with Cedric Nzaka!
In case you missed this post on A Fashion Friend, you can always see it here!
In the spirit of all things Australian (Cotton On, Forever New, and things like, uh, Vegemite??), E! Entertainment’s newest fashion forward show – aptly named, Fashion Bloggers (Sundays on E! at 10pm)- is basically everything a young blogger like myself dreams about. These five women from across the pond are living the dream, and their Instagrams are living proof.
Images from Tony Gum & her Facebook
To paraphrase the Notorious B.I.G., if you didn’t know about Tony Gum, now you know. A visual artist, creative, the mind behind Tony Gum and half of The Local Collective – she’s basically an all round cool person, and she’s been doing some cool things lately.
woohoo! i finally took the plunge and launched my very own facebook page for this very blog!
i hope that that space will be utilised to include a sort of interim-blog, for when i’m too preoccupied with exams (six more! six more prelims!) and then i can update you with all the goings on in the fashion and pop-culture world, as well as to show you all the other photos that i take but don’t upload on this blog! my visual diaries don’t tend to show all that i’ve seen, so now you can see more of their glory through facebook 🙂
so spread the word and click the like button to the DearSolo Blog Facebook Page!
if you didn’t know by now, or guess from my valentines day outfit as seen here, i’ve always dreamt of being a disney princess. like, they’re my spirit animal. so, a while ago i was on tumblr and i stumbled across this amazing pictorial on disney princesses in haute couture gowns and my heart began to sing, because disney has created some of the most iconic outfits of all time – most girls can, at one stage or another, say that they’ve wished for a cinderella-type wedding with a gigantic ballgown (nowadays i either want vera or elie, though) or wondered how it was physically possible for belle to move in that obscenely constructed dress.
