lifestyle | tea time at the cape grace

Apart from health reasons, my family ties to the UK have always had me leaning towards being a tea-person rather than a coffee-person. And lately, with the growing wave of coffee culture rocking the shores of Cape Town, I won’t lie and say I’ve been feeling a little left out. Decaf coffee just doesn’t taste right and most cafes have a dismal tea collection of five roses English breakfast, rooibos tea and maybe green and chai tea if you’re lucky.

On the 8th of June, I won tickets to Cosmopolitan & Forever New’s VIP Shopping Experience in Canal Walk and throughout that evening, they took us through some of the major trends for this season. Two of them that really got me good were bodysuits and the colour maroon (it probably had to do with Marsala being Pantone’s Colour Of The Year last year ?). View Post

“Black is modest and arrogant. Black is lazy and easy – but mysterious. But above all, black says this: ‘I don’t bother you – don’t bother me.’” – Yohji Yamamoto

This was alternatively titled, “Why are you wearing all black?” “I’m mourning myself”, but I found that a little too long, albeit incredibly apt for the last few weeks. Although my <a href="http://www acheter viagra chine.instagram.com/foyinog” onclick=”__gaTracker(‘send’, ‘event’, ‘outbound-article’, ‘http://www.instagram.com/foyinog’, ‘Instagram’);”>Instagram has been all happiness and sunshine, my Twitter has been a better indication as to how I’ve been lately, filled with melodramatic postings accompanied by memes to maintain my carefree aesthetic.
