I won’t even lie, my first winter in Cape Town last year caught me off guard. I was heavily underprepared – you see, in Joburg, when it’s cold, it’s just cold. But in Cape Town, when it’s cold, it’s cold and wet and miserable. I guess that’s why UCT has that (un)official rule that if the mist is so bad that you can’t see the campus on the mountain, it’s no longer there and school is cancelled.
If you follow me on Twitter, you’ve probably heard me express my disdain towards the ’70s trend and festival fashion. And trust me – despite this look post – it still exists. How else do you respond to a trend that’s been shoved down your throat for over two years other than to be annoyed?

Happy 20th birthday to me! Besides having to change my age on all of my social media, today marks a new chapter in my life (the end of my teen years and the beginning of my twenties/real adulthood) and I am both excited/nervous as all hell for it. But bring it on ?
