as my last post for 2014, i thought a quick reflection would be apt. this year, this blog has given me many opportunities and i’ve also had some incredible moments outside of it, too. i graduated high school, i went to an amazing matric dance, i got my drivers license – all of these moments and more have made this year worthwhile.
on top of that, though, i’ve had my fair share of professional success. i’ve made some amazing fashion friends, got to work with people like Baked The Blog and Style Africa, held my own competitions on this blog, and generally got to have a better sense of direction with the brand that i want to build. i am honestly so grateful for the growth DearSolo has shown, and it would not be possible without you. so thank you, to the readers and friends, who have read and commented, liked and interacted on Facebook, twitter, and instagram and just shown me so much love. also, thank you to the friends and family who have put up with me and my need for outfit posts and foodstagrams 🙂 it honestly means so much that people like and support what i do, even when i don’t and i’m still finding my footing (we’re our own worst critics, right?).
it’s been a crazy yet great year, with lots of sadness, joy, love and growth. it was the year of new beginnings – of planting the seeds – and 2015 will be the year of the flourishing and the overflow – i declare it. may 2015 be as great as our instagrams depict it 😉
with a move to cape town on the horizon, university on the cards, new friends, new experiences and a new perspective, i’m so excited for what 2015 has to offer. i pray that 2015 brings on unprecedented opportunities for us all! thanks for sticking by me, and i hope your new years celebrations are amazing and you get to turn up to 7/11 at least once that night (even if it’s just in the car 😉 ).
