zuhair muRAD

(I tried to make a punny title so forgive me for my corniness)

If you didn’t know by now, Elie Saab is one of my favourite fashion designers, so glory-me when I discovered Zuhair Murad and found out that he and Elie are both Lebanese (something in the water there, methinks?) and they both make amazing gowns!

Zuhair’s Spring/Summer 2013 line is the epitome of elegance and opulence. The rich palette caught my eye because I adore gold tones – my mother always loved gold jewellery and it’s become a love of mine! I also keep my eye shadow palette in golds and deep browns as well, so when I saw this collection, it absolutely spoke to me.

I love the immense detail and the contrasting fabrics in the collection! The gowns take a shift into more pastel chiffon fabrics, and it adds a sort of subtle softness to the collection.

The middle dress from the photo below just screams of something out of The Tudors or Marie Antionette; it has the olden day elegance to it and the umpire waist makes it softer and more feminine. I love it!

Speaking of royalty, the gowns below just exude the glamour of Greek goddesses (even Dani Targaryen from Game Of Thrones!). The detail is impeccable.

Last but not least, the middle and right dresses below remind me of Givenchy and luxury.

I hope you think this collection is as (zuhair mu)rad as I do! (I had to try again, sorry :[) By the way, these images are taken from his website – http://www.zuhairmurad.com/.

Also, as you can see, I’m officially on Polyvore (again)! Feel free to follow me – http://foyinog.polyvore.com – the link is with my other social media on the right hand side too!

This greek goddess dresses are lovely. If only I could afford one…or have an occasion to wear one for that matter, haha. Thanks for messaging me on IFB! I’m happy to be your newest follower.
