beauty | wanna be a garnier ambassador? [closed]

Happy new year, everyone! In follow up to my first Garnier 3-in-1 Pure Active post, I was thinking about what Garnier really wanted to achieve with their product: they wanted you to feel clean, fresh, and your best true self – essentially giving you one less thing to worry about because you’re just being you, and that’s how I drew inspiration for these images.

I’m starting to feel like introductions are in order because it’s been a good two months *hides* since I’ve last graced the DearSolo blog with my presence. But in my defence, if you’ve been following me on social media, you’d know that the past few months have not been particularly easy.

Alternatively titled: My Anaconda Don’t Want None Unless You Got Buns, Hun

Whenever I saw Solange Knowles or Neema Nouse – or basically every other black girl with box braids – with these gigantic buns, I was always super jealous and felt like I’d missed the memo and wasn’t privy to the big conference that taught everyone how to make these buns, because no matter how long or how thick I made my braids, my buns always looked incredibly pathetic by comparison. So, after searching for answers for a while & finally finding a useful YouTube Video, I have learnt how to accomplish the massive bun, and I’ll impart it onto you in 6 simple steps.

tomboy for a day

for anyone who has been reading dearsolo for a while, you’ll know how much i love my topshop mom jeans -i even dedicated an entire blog post to them when i bought them last june. but some time after that, i’m not sure if i lost weight (ha!) or if they expanded, but suddenly, i had to belt them every time i wore them, which i never had to do before, and it was a massive pain in the bum. then, in a completely different train of thought, i became like super obsessed with boyfriend jeans and i craved a pair. so what do i do with some baggy mom jeans and a lust for boyfriend jeans? introduce my boyfriend to my mom and get this uber tomboy-ish vibe.
